The Steelbacks - Battlefield Bad Company 2 community site

Check your Battlefield Bad Company stats on your mobile!

Battlefield Bad Company 2 StatsCheck your Battlefield stats online or on your Android mobile

Checking your Battlefield BC2 stats couldn't be easier on the go now as www.bfcs.com have released an application that you can download to your mobile so that you can check your stas whenever you like and it only costs $0.99

The guys at bfbcs.com have also released the source code that you would need to install such statistic checking functionality to your website which is what we will be doing very soon.

How do I get hold of it?

What you'll need to do is go into your phone and check the Android marketplace (the only one I am able to check) and search for Bad Company.

Once you have found this you will need to part with $0.99 of your cash in order to install it to your mobile.

The next thing you will need to do is go to their site and search for your player. If you find that you are not recorded on there then simply add your player to the queue. This can take a little bit of time, in my experience it took half an hour for my player to be added and away I went! I had everything from badges, dogtags, kill death ratio and lots more.

It's important to note that you can only check your stats on your mobile once your player has been addded!

Steelbacks new Battlefield BC2 Servers

Steelbacks have a new server AND we have moved the old server to a new box

Battlefield Steelbacks normal server

Battlefield Steelbacks hardcore server

We have a new Steelbacks Battlefield Bad Company 2 server and the old server has been moved to a new box which I have been told will possibly increase traffic and reliability.

This is great news because now we can play battlefield the way we Steelbacks want. Also this means that when we train, we can direct the community that aren't involved toward our other fully working server.

Remember that the old server won't show up now on your favourites in the Battlefield BC2 server browser so be sure to add these new ones!

Hop over to the Server Details page on the left to grab a cut and pastable IP for when you want to join!

Steelbacks Irc Channel

Steelbacks have a permanent IRC channel for members to idle in when not on TS or in-game, perhaps during the day at your futile job when the boss isn't supervising you (because he has long since given up on turning your feckless hide into a valuable employee), or at home playing some tedious timesink MMO that has claimed thousands of your hours you will never get back (a strange game Professor Falken, the only winning move is not to play).

It's also the emergency point of call on the very rare occasions we might temporarily lose both game server and TS server to gremlins at the same time and need some place to gather for direction.

Server details:
Server: irc.synirc.net
Channel: join channel #sb

You can either connect using a  browser client like Mibbit, or a freeware application like Irssi.

EA Games list of fixes

EA Games have listed fixes they know about for Battlefield Bad Company 2

And there are a lot of them, some being very minor to the more major server disconnecting issues that have kept us fuming at our desks in the evening. I've listed them here for quick reference but go over to their forum for more details.

We have a Steelbacks Knight!

Steelbacks have their 1st Knight

And he goes by the name of VooDoo. During our first ever get together today which was interrupted by not being able to password the server, various disconnects and server crashes, we Steelbacks had a Knives only Conquest game, 2 matches and it isn't down to points but just who has the most kills.

The winner of the first game would have had to play the winner of the second game but this was not necessary as VooDoo had the most kills on both followed scarily close by a master of the blade, Sipe!

VooDoo seemed to be untouchable as he leapt from trees like Predator, snuck up behind people and generally became almost untouchable.

For coming first, VooDoo has won the first months prize which is the full game, Braid and we Steelbacks hope that next months Knife fight will bring more Steelback knights to the table : )

Gratz VooDoo!
