Here's how!
Once you are an author, then we would like help writing news, information and resources on the following subjects.
Battlefield News
Basically anything that's to do with Battlefield including up and coming games, Esports matches, DLC, other news from different sites etc. Also this could include quotes or information about DICE, EA Games etc.
Community News
Anything that has happened with the community, site etc that you feel should be published to the rest of the community who may not already know. i upgraded the server to Version 7 the other day and the M1 Garrand became unlockable. This is the type if news that I'm talking about. Maybe the Steelbacks won a match, one of the players is consistently 1st or is hacking. Anything to do with the Steelbacks!
Battlefield Resources
This is simply websites, fan kits etc that are to do with Battlefield that another Steelback or un registered player may need in order to enhance their BF experience.
Software Resources
These would include server remote admin programs or anything to enhance the Battlefield experience using software. maybe Steam, Teamspeak and also any tools that a gamer could download.
After you have some info on this, then you would simply follow the instructions in order to getting your article published.
Here's how you publish an article on the site:
1) Click on the relevant link that you would like to write an article about.
2) You will be presented with a WYSIWYG editor which is real easy to use and i'm sure you have seen these before. Write up a relevant heading in the Title. this could be 'Steelbacks come first on Clanbase' etc
3) Type up your article using the WYSIWYG to help with your formatting.
4) Check the relevant boxes and form fields:
Section and Category drop downs are pre configured, they can be a visual aid that you are publishing to the correct category/section.
Show on Front page simply means that when it's published, it will be on the front page or not.
Author Alias can be left blank as I have set the site to not show the Authors Alias. (try it though, it shouldn't work)
Access level means who can view it. special is admin and authors, registered is obviously anyone that's registered and public is everyone.
Description and Keywords are for Google. if you would like to, add relevant keywords on here for Google indexing purposes. so for instance if i'm writing an article about Rifle velocities, the keyords would be like this. Rifle, velocity, M16, Muzzle Speed.
5) Once your happy, scroll back to the top of the page and hit save. this article will be left un published and await review by one of us admins. If in the future you guys love this so much and do a great job, we would be happy to give you publishing rights too
Look forward to seeing if anyone else is interested as we have 2 Authors already!
Thanks Greener and Voorite : )
