So you wanna be a Steelback aye?

There are two types of Battlefield gamer that we would like to encourage to join. One of which is the casual gamer that is looking for a community and the other is the competitive gamer looking to play in a league.

Here's how!

All you have to do is register on the site with the box on the left of the screen. Simply enter your details and you will receive an email. Once you receive the email open it and you will see that you need to click a link that directs you back to the site. Click on this and your in! The administrators on the site here will see that you have registered and send you a warm welcome.

After this, you will have access to some content which is only for registered gamers. This includes our servers, Steam details and Teamspeak details. There may be other things in the future.

We need website editors : )

We need people to help update the site by adding news about Battlefield, Hardware and other Battlefield gaming related stuff. If your interested in this, then join us and hang with us on our server for a little while, become friends with us and we will give you publishing privileges.

We want to build the community and want to share the site with all Battlefield gamers alike.

Register yourself on the left and then email telling us that you wanna help the Steelbacks site grow! : )

We need competitive gamers

If you want to play in a well organised clan, then we will be having a competitor section where you can qualify to play in a group of Steelbacks proud Infantry, Tankers, Pilots or support roles!

You will automatically get a reserved slot on both Teamspeak 3 server and our Gameserver if you are in the Steelbacks team.

Register with the community, game with us and then let us know you wanna be on the Steelbacks team!

Battlefield veteran

If your a veteran Battlefield gamer and want some recognition for the countless hours you've put into your beloved chair, then you probably deserve a special unlock for Battlefield BC2 that n00bie BF gamers won't have access to.

What do I have to do?

Well if you browse to veteran.battlefield.com and sign in with your EA Games account, you can associate the other Battlefield games in your collection to your EA account, you then get a Battlefield veteran status. If you get a Battlefield veteran status of 1 or over, then you are entitled to a free unlock once you start the game : )

What do I get?

Well as far as I am aware at the moment, you get the M1 Garand! Hopefully it will sound just as nice as the real thing.

Dell/Alienware affiliation

Steelbacks are now able to display Dell and Alienware banners on our site as affiliates. This is great news for the Steelbacks as we are more than happy to support Dell and Alienware machines! I for one have an Alienware ALX which I have been keeping up to date over the last 3 years. Brilliant machine and top quality components including BFG and EVGA.

Bad Company 2 PC Walkthrough

Battlefield BC2 Producer, Andres Gyllenberg has put together a nice video displaying the features of Bad Company 2 on the PC. It's good to see a new map rather than what we've been getting used to on the demo. This definitely wets my appetite and makes me want a new PC very badly! There is so much detail here to render.
